Recommended oil viscosity (SAE):
Expected temperature range before
changing the oil next time.
In the extremely cold days, if you use
SAE 10W-30 or oil with higher viscosity,
the engine will be hard to start, so oil
SAE 5W-30 is recommended.
Oil identification mark
Some oil container has one or two API

labels
choosing oil.

API classification mark
API

somewhere outside the oil container.
The upper part of the label is the oil quality
specified by API (American Petroleum
Institute), such as SL. The middle part of
the label is SAE viscosity grade, such as
SAE 10W-30. "Energy-Conserving" on
the lower part of the label means this oil is
fuel-saving.

Check the engine coolant level

In the engine cooling state, check the
transparent coolant tank. The coolant
level in the tank is proper if it is between
"FULL" and "LOW" line. If the
level is low, you need to add coolant.
(About the type of coolant, refer to the
following" Coolant Type Choice".)
The coolant level in the tank will vary with
the engine temperature. However, if the
liquid level is at the "LOW" line or
below, you need to add the coolant to make
the liquid level up to the "FULL" line.
