The airbag system only functions in
case of serious frontal collisions. It
doesn't mean that the airbag system has
problems when it doesn't respond to the
collision. Incorrect maintenance
failure to repair faulty parts may affect
the normal performance of the airbag
system.
System parts
The airbag system consists mainly of the
following parts, the arrangement of which is
shown in the above figure:
1. airbag collision sensor (bisidely
symmetrical)
2. SRS warning light
3. airbag module for the occupant in the
front row (airbag and inflation device)
4. central control unit (ECU)
5. airbag module for the driver (airbag and
inflation device)
6. airbag module for seat side (bisidely
symmetrical) (Optional)
or
7. window bagmodule(bisidely symmetri-
cal) (Optional)
8. side collision sensor (bisidely symmetri-
cal) (Optional)
9. clock spring
Considerations
Move the seat
backward

should not be added to the front
passenger seat unless necessary. Since
the airbag for the occupant in the
front row can inflate quickly with
high tension, so do move the seat
backward
Otherwise, it may cause injury or
even death of children sitting there.
When the vehicle is driving, do
not sit on the edge of the seat or bend
over the instrument panel, since
when the airbag inflates fast with
powerful force, occupants directly
contacting or nearing the airbag may

be killed or severely injured. Please
keep sitting in a correct posture and
please fasten your seat belt correctly.
