5.1.5 Flange-Back Adjustment

Here shows adjustment procedure to input Flange-back adjustment value. This adjustment adjusts
focus to the subject (Siemens star chart), which is put a certain distance away from the camera,
and stores that value as standard value in the flash memory of the CA2 board as its process
explained in the figure 5-2. Therefore, it is necessary to perform this adjustment when replacing
lens unit, CCD and CA2 board.
CAUTION
Perform section 5.1.2 "Initialization" before starting this adjustment.
Also, perform section 5.1.4 "5100K AWB adjustment" after performing
initialization.
Step1.
Select DscCal52 and display the screen for adjustment program.(Refer to figure5-3)
Project a Siemens star chart at a distance of 69cm ± 3cm in front of the camera
Step2.
lens and adjust them so that the center of Siemens star chart come to the center of
LCD screen.
Step3.
Select "Focus" on the screen.

Step4.
An indication appears to confirm selection.
Step5.
Select "Yes".
Step6.
Flange-back adjustment value appears on the screen.
Step7.
Click "OK" on the screen.
