To setup Windows Mail follow these steps:

In Windows Mail, click on the Tools menu and select accounts.
Click the add button.

Select Email Account and click next.

Enter a Display Name and click next.

Enter your Optusnet email address and click next.

Ensure that POP3 is selected in the Incoming email server type field and enter the

following server details:
a. Incoming mail: (POP3 or IMAP) server: mail.optusnet.com.au
b. Outgoing email server: (SMTP) name: mail.optusnet.com.au and then click next.

Enter your Username (your Member Services Username). Enter your Password (your
Member Services Password) and click next.

Click Finish.

Click Close to save the settings and access your email
You are ready to start sending and receiving email!

To setup apple Mail follow these steps:
Apple Mail client, click File menu and select add account and then Continue on the

next screen.

On the New Account page, enter the following information:
a. POP, Optusnet, Full Name and Optusnet email address, then click Continue.

Enter the following in the Incoming Mail Server screen:
a. Incoming Mail Server: mail.optusnet.com.au
b. Username (your Member Services Username)
c. Password (your Member Services Password), then click Continue.
Leave the default settings and click Continue.

Enter the following Outgoing Mail Server: mail.optusnet.com.au and click Continue.

Leave the default settings and click Continue.

Confirm that the settings are correct and click Continue.

Click done.
You are ready to start sending and receiving email!
