To turn off the power
 Close the LCD screen.
 If the viewfinder is pulled out, retract the viewfinder as shown in the illustration below
(HDR-CX700/CX700V).
The
(Movie) lamp flashes for a few seconds and the camcorder is turned off.
Tips
You can turn off the camcorder also by pressing POWER.
When [Power On By LCD] (p. 95) is set to [Off], turn off your camcorder by pressing POWER
(HDR-CX560/CX560V).
On turning the camcorder on or off using the LCD screen or the viewfinder
(HDR-CX700/CX700V)
The power of the camcorder is turned on or off depending on the status of the LCD screen or
the viewfinder.

Even if the LCD screen is closed, if the viewfinder is pulled out, the camcorder is not turned off. When
you turn off the power of the camcorder, make sure that the viewfinder is retracted to the original
position.
