Prior to first use

Heat up the appliance before using for the first time to remove
any residues from the assembly process (greases). Proceed as
follows:
Wipe the appliance with a moist cloth.

Turn the control knob in anti-clockwise direction as far as it

will go (OFF).
Connect up the appliance by inserting the heating appliance
‹
plug into the jack on the appliance and the mains plug into a
plug socket.
Turn the control knob to level 5 and wait until the green indi-
‹
cator light goes out.
Turn the control knob to the 2nd red mark (maximum level).

NOTE
Slight smoke development is completely normal. Ensure suf-
►
ficient ventilation.
After 2 minutes, switch off the appliance by turning the control
‹
knob in anti-clockwise direction as far as it will go and pull the
mains plug out of the plug socket.
Allow the appliance to cool down for around 15 minutes.

Wipe the appliance with a moist cloth.
‹
The appliance is now ready for use.
