31 It may need 2 or 3 presses to pump water through the system.
32 Leave 4 seconds between shots, to let the temperature build up.
C DRy IRONING
33 If you're going to be dry ironing for 20 minutes or more, empty
the reservoir first, to avoid spontaneous bursts of steam.
34 Set the steam control to S.
35 Wait till the light goes out, then start ironing.
S vERTIcAl STEAMING
36 Iron hanging clothes, hanging curtains, and furnishing fabrics.
37 Check that there's adequate ventilation behind the fabric,
otherwise moisture may build up, causing mildew.
38 Check that there's nothing behind the fabric that may be
damaged by the steam.
39 Check that pockets, turn-ups, and cuffs are empty.
40 Check that there's water in the reservoir.
41 Set the temperature control to max, set the steam control to S.
42 Hold the iron just off the fabric, then press the ~ button.

45 Leave 4 seconds between shots, to let the temperature build up.
C AFTER USE
46 Set the temperature control to •, set the steam control to S.
47 Unplug the iron.
48 Lift the top of the water inlet cover to open it.
49 Hold the iron over a sink, turn it upside down, and drain it.
50 Sit the iron on its heel, and leave it to cool down completely.
51 Wipe off any moisture, and close the water inlet cover.
52 Store the iron on its heel, to avoid corrosion or soleplate damage.

53 To avoid scale build-up, self clean regularly, at least monthly in
normal water areas, more often in hard water areas.
54 You'll need a basin or bowl to set below the soleplate.
55 Fill the reservoir to the max mark.
56 Set the temperature control to max, set the steam control to S.
