EMERGENCY PANEL Unpacking Unpacking Although your EP-616 is neither complicated nor difficult to operate, we recommend you take a few minutes to read this brief manual and familiarize yourself with the important information regarding product features, setup and operation. As with most electronic devices, we strongly recommend you retain the original packaging. In the unlikely event the product must be returned for servicing, the original packaging (or reasonable equivalent) is required.
Use the test function for system tests or to conduct emergency drills. Operation Operation 1. Switch off the EP-616 Power Switch. 2. Select either External mode or Internal mode before installing the system. 3. Using the TEST SWITCH, an alarm is broadcast through the built-in speaker.
This LED will light to indicate that power has been applied to the unit, and the unit is in Standby mode. 5. MIC VOLUME This knob controls the mic output volume. Rotating in a clockwise direction increases volume. 6. FIRE INDICATOR LED This panel indicates when a fire has been detected. EP-616...

MATRIX CONNECTOR This multi-pin EMG jack is for the connection of an external timer, such as the Inter-M ECS-616. 3. REMOTE MIC TERMINAL Connect an external microphone to this terminal. The external mic is active when the remote mic switch (4) is set to external.

These jacks are used to connect the output of a pre-amplifier to REMOTE 1 and REMOTE 2. 10. TIMER INPUT JACK This jack is for the connection of an external timer, such as the Inter-M PW-642. 11. AUTO ANN INPUT JACK Connect the output of an auto broadcasting system (or a cassette deck or other line level device) to this balanced XLR input jack.
4. Connect audio output of your auto broadcasting system to the AUTO ANN INPUT jack (11), and the DC 24V input jack of your auto broadcasting system to the DC 24V terminal jack (5) of the EP-616. 5. Connect the output jack of the Inter-M PW-642 to the TIMER INPUT jack (10).
