MOTOR SAFETY FILTER CLEANING

WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard
Turn off and unplug vacuum cleaner
from electrical outlet. Do not operate
the vacuum cleaner without the motor
safety filter. Be sure the filter is dry and
properly installed to prevent motor fail-
ure and/or electrical shock.

EXHAUST FILTER REPLACEMENT

The HEPA exhaust filter must be replaced
when dirty. It should be replaced regularly
depending on use conditions.
The filter CANNOT be washed as it will
lose its dust trapping ability.
Note: See PARTS AND FEATURES
for the exhaust filter number.
Remove exhaust filter cover by pressing
the release tab on the cover and rotating
out from
vacuum
cleaner.

Remove
the filter
cartridge
from cover.
Place new filter cartridge into cover mak-
ing sure that airflow arrow on side of car-
tridge points into cover.
Remove the dust bag as outlined in the
DUST BAG REPLACEMENT section.
If the filter, located in the bottom of the dust
cover cavity, is dirty, remove it by pulling for-
ward out from under the ribs.
Wash the foam filter in warm soapy water,
rinse and dry thoroughly by squeezing the fil-
ter in your hand and letting it air dry.
DO NOT wash in the dishwasher.
DO NOT install damp.
Replace the foam filter by sliding it back into
place under the ribs in the dust cover cavity.
Replace the dust bag as outlined in the
DUST BAG REPLACEMENT section.
The foam seal of the filter should be
placed against the vacuum cleaner
body.

Replace the exhaust filter cover by placing
bottom tabs in slots and rotating in until
cover snaps into place.

RELÂCHEMENT DU MANCHE
Relâcher le manche en appuyant sur la pédale
de relâchement du manche avec votre pied et
tirant ver l'arrière et le bas sur la manche avec
la main.
INTERRUPTEUR
Pour mettre l'aspirateur en marche, glisser le
commutateur OFF/CARPET de la position OFF à
la position CARPET. Mettre le commutateur en
position OFF afin de couper l'alimentation.
2. Détachez la prise du cordon électrique du
cordon électrique et retirez la corde du crochet
supérieur. Soyez sûr que le du cordon élec-
trique est encore fermé à clef sur l'entaille de
fermeture du crochet

3. Brancher le cordon
polarisé sur une prise de
120 V située à proximité
du plancher.

4. Pour stocker le cor-
don, faire tourner le crochet supérieur du cordon
à la position haute, puis enveloppez le cordon.
