Joystick
The joystick is used for regulating the
speed of the wheelchair forwards or
backwards, for turning and for braking.
Speed is continuously adjusted by
movements of the joystick, either for-
wards or backwards. The speed is
directly proportional to joystick move-
ment (a small movement causes a low
speed, a large movement a high
speed).
Turning is effected by moving the joy-
stick to one side or the other.
Braking occurs by moving the joystick
back to neutral or by letting go of it all
together.
