Maintenance
The filters can get dirty during use and therefore must be checked regularly:
Clean the filters as described below.
Keep the checking and cleaning intervals given below.
Replace damaged or deformed filters immediately.
Your appliance is equipped with the following 4 filters (Fig. 13):
Cyclone (Fig. 13/1)
- Checking: Every time you empty the dust container.
- Cleaning: according to the degree of soiling, but at least once per month

Foam plastic Motor protection filter (Fig. 13/2)
- Cleaning: according to the degree of soiling, but at least once per month

- Changing: every 6 months

Laminar motor protection filter (Fig. 13/3)
- Cleaning: according to the degree of soiling, but at least once per month

1. Switch off the appliance
2. Remove and empty the dust container,
3. Hold the dust container low over a dustbin.
4. Check the cyclone for possible dirt.
5. If the cyclone is dirty, twist it out of its receptacle (Fig. 14/1.) and take it out (Fig. 14/2.).
6. If necessary, rinse the cyclone in clear cold or hand warm running water until all dirt is removed (Fig. 15/A).

The cyclone is washable, but may not be cleaned in dishwashers. Also, do not use detergents or brushes

with hard bristles to clean the filters. Dry the cyclone with a cloth or leave it to dry at room temperature for

approx. 24 hours after cleaning (Fig. 15/B). Only put it back in place when it is completely dry.
7. Also check and if necessary clean the foam plastic motor protection filter, the laminar motor protection filter
chapter 4.3, „Cleaning / changing the laminar motor protection filter" and the exhaust filter
„Cleaning / changing the exhaust filter".
8. Refitting the cyclone into the appliance:
- The cyclone has two tabs of different size that must engage the corresponding grooves of the dust
container.
- Position the cyclone in such a way that the larger of the two tabs engages the larger groove of the dust
container (Fig. 16/1.), the smaller tab the smaller groove accordingly.
- Now lock the cyclone by twisting it in the direction indicated by the arrow (Fig. 16/2.).
9. Close the dust compartment bottom plate.
10. Put the dust container back into its holder. You must feel and hear it clicking into place.
11. Check that the dust container is fitted securely.
