    2) If the radio displays ENTER SECURITY CODE, then a security code must be entered. 3) The security code number is found on the card supplied with your new HYUNDAI vehicle. 4) The security code is a four digit number. For the example below, the code is 3212.

    Bluetooth mobile phone or Bluetooth music player and the HYUNDAI Bluetooth car radio. The HYUNDAI Bluetooth car radio features a hands-free system so that you may talk on the telephone without taking your eyes off the road or your hands off the wheel. A microphone built into the front of the radio receives your voice and the calling party can be heard through the car speakers.
  • Page 6 Bluetooth - Indicators 2.1 Bluetooth Indicators Shown on the Radio Display ► Bluetooth Indicator The Bluetooth logo above is displayed steady on the radio screen when a Bluetooth device is connected. If the indicator is not displayed, then no Bluetooth device is connected or the connection is not of satisfactory quality.

  • Page 10 – Connection 2.2.5. Deleting a Paired Bluetooth Device If a previously paired Bluetooth device is no longer to be used with the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio, it may be deleted from memory. Refer to the example of paired devices shown in table 1.1 on the previous page.
  • Page 11 5) To make a call, use the keypad of the connected Bluetooth mobile phone to enter the number to be called and press the OFF HOOK (green) button on your mobile phone. 6) Outgoing Call is displayed on the display of the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio and the call continues in hands free mode.

    2.4.2. Setting Calling Voice Volume Level The level of the calling voice volume heard through the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio and car speakers is adjusted using this setting. 1) Follow steps 1) to 3) of above setting 2.4.1. until Voice Volume is displayed.

    HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio while WAITING is displayed. Once entries begin to transfer from the mobile phone to the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio, Transfer Entry – 01, Transfer Entry - 02, up to the maximum Transfer Entry - 78 appears on the display.

Alternatively, the complete phonebook contents may be deleted in a single action. 1) Press button , to select Phonebook Menu mode. 2) Turn knob until Browse Entries is displayed. 3) Press knob then turn knob until the existing entry to be deleted is displayed.

    General Controls 5. General Controls Power ON/OFF Press knob momentarily to turn the radio on or off. Via Steering wheel remote control: Pressing and holding the MODE button on the steering wheel controls will turn the radio on or off. Volume UP/DOWN Turn knob right to increase the volume level.
  • Page 19 General Controls Loudness Setting When listening to music at low volume levels, this feature will boost the bass and treble output levels. Warning LED This LED lamp blinks every 1 second when the ignition is turned OFF to act as a deterrent against theft.

    Tuner → CD → USB → AUX → BT Audio Press the MODE button for more than 1 second to switch the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio off. Note: a) Only those mode sources connected will be displayed and available for selection when using the steering wheel MODE button.

    AM/FM Tuner 7. AM/FM Tuner TUNE Button To manually tune to a radio station, turn knob left or right to increase or decrease the radio frequency. AM/FM Button This button operates several tuner functions: 1) Press button to select the tuner mode when another mode is operating. 2) Press button to change the radio wave band.

    CD Player 8. CD Player The Hyundai Bluetooth radio is quipped with a CD player that is capable of playing 12 centimeter discs containing CD DA audio or compressed MP3 and WMA tracks. DISC SLOT With the printed label surface facing upwards, gently insert the disc into the slot until the soft loading mechanism engages.
  • Page 23 CD Player RANDOM PLAY During disc play, press button to play tracks on the disc in a random or shuffled order. RDM will appear on the display. The track select function will also select tracks in the random mode instead of the normal sequence. Press the button again to cancel the random function.

    MP3 and WMA music tracks located on a memory device connected using the USB socket may be played by the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio. Refer to section 7 (CD Player) for controlling the playback of MP3 / WMA files. The same method of control is used when MP3 / WMA files are stored on either a CD or USB device.

    iPod Player 10. iPod PLAYER An iPod may be connected to the USB socket and then controlled by the radio buttons and/or steering wheel controls for music playback. The iPod is connected using the iPod cable, usually white in colour, supplied with the iPod. 10.1 Playing Music Using iPod via USB.
  • Page 26 iPod Player 10.7 Song Search A quick track or song browser is available to view the available tracks in the current category. 1) Turn knob to display the track titles. 2) When the desired track title is displayed, press knob to begin playback of that track.

    AUX Input 11. AUX CONNECTOR It is possible to connect your portable media player to the car audio system for playback of the audio tracks via the car speakers. To get the best results when connecting the portable media to the car audio system, follow these steps: 1) Use the supplied 3.5 mm stereo plug to 3.5 mm stereo plug cable to connect the media player headphone socket to the AUX socket located inside the centre console.

    12.1. Upgrading Firmware 1) Set Ignition switch to the ACC or ON position. 2) Turn on the HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio. 3) Connect the USB storage device with the valid firmware file to the radio. 4) Reading appears on the display.

    HANDLING COMPACT DISCS 1) Dirt, dust and scratches on the disc surface and warped discs can cause loss of sound or skipping during playback. Additionally, deterioration of sound quality may also result. Please observe these guidelines to take care of your compact discs: *Fingerprints, dust and dirt should be carefully wiped from the disc playing surface (side with no printing) with a soft cloth.

    MP3/WMA Information The HYUNDAI Bluetooth radio is able to play MP3 and WMA music files from a compact disc or USB memory device. MP3 is an abbreviation of Motion Picture Experts Group (MPEG) Audio layer 3. MP3 audio format files are typically only 1/10th the size of conventional CD DA audio files. Most MP3 files are created on a personal computer using special software.
