■ The Flue Damper must be in the full
open position when burning the gas
logs.
■ This fireplace is to be burned only with
the gas log set supplied with the
fireplace. Burning other items could
cause a fire hazard or injury.
■ For best results, Natural Gas pressure
should be 7" to 12" W.C. and 11" W.C.

■ To simulate real wood burning, the gas
burner is designed to burn a yellow
flame. It is normal for the logs to soot-
up. The soot can be easily removed
with a vacuum cleaner or soft brush.
■ Check the label on the firebox to

Questions and answers
My pilot blew out on my SF4224-tv fireplace and I relit the pilot. The flute is open and I turned the gas electrical switch on and it won’t light. The panel door was closed before turning it on. I shut the electrical gas switch off and waited 3 minutes tried again and no luck
If the pilot light won't ignite after relighting on a Golden Blount SUPER-FIRE SF4224-TV fireplace, possible issues include:
1. Not holding the control knob long enough – The knob must be held down for a full minute after ignition.
2. Defective pilot generator – The flame must properly contact the generator. Clean or adjust the pilot for proper flame impingement.
3. Loose wire connections – Ensure wires from the generator to gas valve terminals are tight.
4. Low millivolt reading – Use a meter to check the generator. It should read at least 325 millivolts with the pilot lit and knob depressed.
5. Defective gas valve – If voltage is correct but the pilot still won’t stay lit, the valve may be faulty.
If the pilot still doesn’t stay lit after two tries, turn the gas control knob to “OFF” and contact a service technician or gas supplier.
