Troubleshooting

Your AT&T 3G MicroCell™ was designed to provide continuous service without intervention on your part. Occasionally, hardware
issues and Internet service interruptions can occur that disrupt the operation of the 3G MicroCell. We have provided the
following remedial troubleshooting steps so you can find the source of the problem and eliminate it, if possible.

Then...
A hardware fault on the 3G MicroCell has occurred.
• Ifthe'Power'statusremainsred,yourdevicemayneedreplacement.
Return the device to place of purchase.
There is no physical connection to the 3G MicroCell Ethernet port.
• Confirmthatyourconfigurationiscorrectandthatallcablesare
firmly attached.
Cables are connected but no Internet access.
• Steadyflashingforlessthan3minutesisnormal.
• Ifflashingcontinuesformorethan3minutes,thisindicatesthat
there could be an error in your cable configuration. Confirm
configuration and recycle power (Off/On) on all devices according
to the sequence specified for your configuration option.
See Step 2: Configuration and Powering Up on page 8.
• NormalforthosewithOptionAconfiguration(noEthernet
connection to the 'Computer' port on the 3G MicroCell).
• ForthosewithOptionBorCconfigurations(acomputerorrouter
is connected by Ethernet cable to the 'Computer' port) check that
cables are firmly connected.
Your computer is passing data – this is normal during data transfer.
The 3G MicroCell does not have GPS lock.
• Itisnormalforthestatusindicatortobeoffinitiallywhenyoufirst
power up.
• Tryrecyclingpower(Off/On)onthe3GMicroCell.Iftheconditiondoesnot
clear, contact ATMC Customer Service at
for assistance.
The 3G MicroCell cannot acquire a GPS lock.
• IfyouwereneverabletogetaGPSlock(solidgreenstatus)–refer
to FAQ 1.3 on page 16.
• Ifatanytimeafteryouhaveactivatedtheunit,younoticethatthe
GPS status indicator is flashing green for 60 minutes or more – refer
to FAQ 1.3 on page 16.
• Recyclepower(Off/On)onalldevicesaccordingtothesequence
specified for your configuration option. See Step 2: Configuration
and Powering Up on page 8.
