INSPECTION AND SERVICE

CAUTION: ISOLATE THE WATER,
ELECTRICITY AND OIL MAINS SUPPLIES
BEFORE STARTING ANY WORK AND
OBSERVE ALL RELEVANT SAFETY
PRECAUTIONS.
Routine servicing:
To maintain efficient boiler operation, the
following should be carried out at least once a
year:
Carry out a pre-service check and note any
operational faults:
Pre-Service Check:
1
Pull base of front panel (A) away from the
boiler to disengage ball stud connectors (B).
Lift front panel (A) upwards off the
supporting ledge (C) and store safely away
from the working area.
2 Remove securing screws (D) from each
side of control box (E).
Pivot control box (E) downwards into the
service position as shown.
Operate the appliance and system and note
any faults which may need to be corrected
during the service.
Switch off and electrically isolate the
boiler.
3 Depress locking ears and unplug burner
lead (F) from control box (E).
4 Loosen clip (G) to detach air duct pipe.
5 Undo the two scews securing the deflector
plate (K) and remove the plate.

6 Unscrew burner retainer (H) to release
the burner ( I ).
Lift burner off the lug ( J ) and away, taking
care not to over strain the flexible oil pipe/s
or connections.

Service requirements:
See the following instructions for detail of
some of the service requirements listed
below:
Check and clean the burner.
Replace the burner nozzle and flexible oil
pipe/s.
Check and clean the baffle retainers.
Check and clean the baffles.
Check and clean the heat exchangers
surfaces.

Check the combustion chamber access
door insulation board.
Check that the flue system is unobstructed
and clean as necessary.
Clean or replace all oil filters.
Check that the condensate system is not
obstructed, clean and refill as necessary.
