PARKING BRAKE The parking brakes are part of the most im- portant safety elements of a wheelchair. Caution: Please observe the Maintenance Instruc- tions as well as instructions in the section “General Safety Information” and “Brakes” in the brochure “Safety information - Me- chanical wheelchairs”! PRESSURE BRAKE The wheelchair is fitted with pressure brakes. -

Adjusting the pressure brakes The pressure brakes must be readjusted after each re-fitting of a drive wheel. Handling: – Loosen the clamping screw (1, fig. 4) of one pressure brake. – Pre-set the pressure brake – Slide the brake bolt of the non-activated pressure brake to a point approx. -

DRUM BRAKES The drum brake is activated by the attendant through the brake levers on the extended han- dles (fig. 4.1).
