4. Press the soft Scene + (Fast Forward) key to increment the scene name from WILDCAT1T02.WAV to
WILDCAT2T01.WAV.
5. Press the soft Done (Play) key.
6. The name of the next take will be displayed on the top line indicated by the n.
Drive Directory (File Viewer) Changes
All drive specifi c operations have been relocated from the Setup Menu to the Drive Directory
Options Menu, with the exception of the Drive Speed Tests and Drive Repairs. Drive Speed Tests are
still performed within the Setup Menu option DRIVE: SPEED TESTS. The Drive Repair feature has
been completely removed from the 788T.
If media repair or recovery is needed, Sound Devices recommends using a computer with software
specifi cally designed to repair or recover digital media. Using these types of tools will provide more
control and effectively increase the chance of media repair or recovery.
The Drive Directory is now accessed from within the Take List by pressing the soft DRV (HDD) key.
For quick access to the Drive Directory from the Main Screen, simply press the HDD key twice. For
quick access to the Root Directory press the soft
Drive Directory, press the TK soft (HDD) key.
