  • Page 5 Quick Fire Instructions. How to use your Scales You can weigh directly onto the platform or use a bowl. Add & Weigh function – Find the POINTS values for you favourite recipes. Find the POINTS values for any food, simply by weighing it.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ BEFORE USING YOUR SCALES • Ensure you clean your scales platform between weighing foods if you are weighing directly onto the scales platform. • Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Please note, it is possible to unscrew the platform to remove it from the base, or you can lock the scales and leave the platform in position.

  • Page 12 Zeroing the Scales 1. If you are weighing a food in a bowl, then you will need to zero the weight of the bowl, before you start adding the food. 2. Place the bowl on top of the scales. The screen will show you how much the bowl weighs.
  • Page 13 Weighing Food 1. Place the food either directly onto the scales or in a bowl (remembering that you need to zero the weight first). 2. The screen will display the weight of the food. 3. Using the alphabetical keys, start entering in the food name. You can use as few or as many letters as you want to search under.

This will save the ingredients information in the scales so that you can find the total POINTS values for the recipe. (NB. You can add a maximum of 20 ingredients to one recipe).

  • Page 17 Clearing a food in the Add & Weigh Mode 1. If you have made a mistake and would like to delete a food you have added to your recipe, simply scroll through the recorded Food List until you are on the item that you wanted to clear.

  • Page 19 Adding extra quantities of the same food and recalculating POINTS values If you have weighed an amount of a certain food, have checked the POINTS values, and then want to increase the quantity of that food, simply add more to the scales and the POINTS values will automatically increase on the screen.
  • Page 20 Calculating the POINTS values from packaged foods 1. Zero the scales (see page 5 for further information). 2. Place a bowl on top of the scales. The screen will display how much the bowl weighs. 3. Press the ON/ZERO key to zero down the weight, so that the screen shows the weight of the bowl as zero.

  • Page 22 Turning off the Scales To turn off the scales, simply press the button once. The scales will automatically shut off if you do not use them for more than 3 minutes. However, don’t worry if you are working in the ‘Add & Weigh’ mode, as the scales will remember this even if they shut off automatically.
