Use of Scale for Weight Tracking
and Body Analysis
1. Tap the scale with your foot to turn it on. Wait until all
digits light and "0.0" appears.
2. Press USER (use up and down arrows to get the correct
number) to select your user number among the 4 user
numbers and recall the programmed data.
Your user data appears ( User number displays for
2 seconds, Height displays for 2 seconds and Age for
2 seconds ) then the scale displays "0.0".
3. Step on the scale BAREFOOT, ensuring your feet are
on the silver inserts on the scale surface.
Current Weight: Your current weight displays
for 3 seconds.
Change from LAST: Then the difference between your
current and your last weight displays for 3 seconds
(user has lost 5 lbs since the last weighing), indicated by
a white bar lighting up on the LCD in the "Change from
LAST" segment.
Change from START: Then the difference between your
current weight and your start weight displays for 3 seconds
(user has lost 10 lbs since start of weight program),
indicated by a white bar lighting up on the LCD in the
"Change from START" segment.
Weight from GOAL: Then the difference between your
current weight and your goal weight displays for 3 seconds
(user needs to lose 10 lbs to reach goal weight), indicated
by a white bar lighting up on the LCD in the "Weight from
GOAL" segment.

For each of the body analysis measurements, the scale interprets the measurement result, based on the user’s age and gender. A green bar means the measurement result is on target, a yellow bar indicates a result slightly lower or higher than normal, and a red bar indicates a measurement result that is very high or very low.

This indirect method of determining body fat starts when a safe and very low electrical current is sent through the lower half of the body. The electrical current flows more quickly through water and muscle than it will through bone and fat.

To summarize, make the most of the body analysis feature by: • Tracking change over time and not day to day. • Using the same scale as much as possible. • Being extra-consistent in the time of day, day of the week, time before or after food and fluid consumption, before or after exercise, etc., when measuring body composition.

We generally recommend weighing yourself no more than once a week when you’re dieting.
