Recharging the handset
1. On the handset, slide the cover and
insert the 2 NiMH batteries supplied.
Always observe the direction of
insertion. Close the lid.
2. Place the handset on the base and
allow to charge for at least 24 hours
before its first use, until the handset
icon indicates
3. If necessary, do the same for other
handsets.
Note on the batteries
The
icon on the display flashes
when batteries are discharged. It is
imperative to allow the handset to
charge before use. The

Once charged, the batteries provide a
range of approximately 10 hours of
talk and 100 hours of standby. Note
that new batteries do not have their full
capacity after normal use for several
days.
For optimal conservation of batteries,
leave the handset off the base for a
few hours.
A complete discharge of the batteries
once a week will prolong their lifespan.
The charge capacity of the batteries
will decrease over time, reducing the
range of the handset. A change of
batteries may eventually be necessary.
The handset and the batteries may
become warm during charging.
Batteries that are inserted incorrectly,
exposed to heat or damaged may leak.
Use only rechargeable batteries
recommended. Their replacement by
non-rechargeable or non-conforming
batteries may damage the handset.

Never dispose of batteries in fire. Use
the recycling system.
Checking the line
Once the
is displayed on the
handset, lift the handset and check for
the dial tone.
Setting the language
To facilitate the following settings,
proceed first to the selection of menus in
French.
1. Press Menu. Using , go to Settings
and press Select.
2. Handset Settings will be highlighted,
press Select.
3. Using , highlight Language and
press Select.
4. Using or , select the desired
language. Press Select to confirm.
5. Press Back to return to the previous
level.
Setting the date and time
If Caller ID was purchased from your
service provider, the date and time are
automatically displayed on the handset.
If the Caller ID function has not been
purchased, proceed as follows to set the
date and time.
