Setting The Motion Detection Region Of Interest - smartvue S8 User Manual

SET T ING T HE MO T IO N DET ECT IO N REGIO N O F INT EREST
Click on the Set Motion Area hyperlink to set the region of interest to
monitor for motion. To draw a region of interest, click on the pencil, then drag and
drop the region of interest on the screen (there can only be one region of interest). The
area outside of the white box is the area outside of the normally recorded video, but is
recorded with a high-resolution image snapshot.
Sensitivity
Sets the sensitivity of the motion detection. The default is 70. The higher the number,
the more sensitive the detection is.
Noise Level
Sets the "environmental noise" in the video. The default is 50. For example if wind is
moving trees, the noise level may be high to prevent false alarms.
Testing Motion Detection
Test the motion detection by clicking on the Start Test button. When motion is
detected on the test screen, a notice will appear.
