INSPECTION AND REPAIR
AUTOLUBE OIL PUMP
Internal wear or poor operation may cause the
pump to deviate from its factory adjustment.
However, this is very uncommon. If incorrect
operation is suspected, inspect the following:
1. Inspect:
• supply line Obstruction Apply air under
pressure.
Wear/Damage
2. Inspect:
• drive gear teeth of the autolube oil pump
• gear teeth driven by autolube oil pump

CHECKING THE CRANKSHAFT
1. Measure:
• crankshaft runout
Out of specification
haft, bearing or both.
NOTE:
Turn the crankshaft slowly.
2. Measure:
• big end side clearance
Out of specification
bearing, crankshaft pin, or connecting rod.
3. Measure:
• crankshaft width
Out of specification
haft.
