Tyre punctures

When the instrument panel receives a
signal from the tyre pressure ECU
indicating that the pressure level of
one or more tyres is below the alarm
threshold, the warning light
permanently illuminate on the
instrument panel and screen pages 4
2
will alternate on the display for 20
seconds. Every time the key is
subsequently turned back to ON, if the
malfunction persists the display will
show screen pages 4 for 20 seconds.
These screen pages will be displayed
until the situation is corrected and the
system is calibrated again as required
by the system.

Tyre pressure monitoring system (optional)
The system may not know what wheel
is originating the malfunction
indication and therefore is not capable
of indicating the wheel involved. As a
consequence, in addition to the
warning light
permanently
will
illuminated on the instrument panel,
the display will show screen page 5.
The display strategy of this screen page
follows the same logic applied for
screen page 4 previously described.

"Run Flat" tyre puncture

If the vehicle is equipped with Run Flat
tyres, in the event of a tyre puncture,
the relative warning light
comes
on and the pages 6 are alternately
displayed for 10 seconds. At the end of
the display cycle, the system will show
the previously active page with the
symbol
positioned in area G of the
display (see page 76). The warning
light
on the instrument panel
remains on.
The system calculates the residual tyre
life in km and repeats the display cycle
every 30 km of driving up to a
maximum of 120 km.
