POWER FAILURE
O
Heating operation interrupted by a power outage will resume as soon as the power comes back on.
O
Power failure that last 30 minutes or longer and turn off the indicators will require to reset the current time
of controller.
Timer operation is not possible without setting the current time. (Refer to page 12-15)
SUSPENSION OF THE WATER SUPPLY
O
Turn off the water heater water valve when water is not supplied due to a suspension of the water supply or
water service construction. Continued use of the unit under these conditions will result in strainers clogging
from the turbid incoming water, the amount of water will drop and the water in the unit will become turbid.
O
Do not open the hot water supply knob on the mixer tap during water supply suspended.
O
When the construction work ends, open the hot water supply knob on the mixer tap and check that the
water has become clean before turning on the water valve.
WHEN THE UNIT WILL NOT BE USED FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD

USED FOR A MONTH OR MORE

Turn off circuit breaker.

Drain the hot-water tank of water.
To resume operation later, follow the instructions in the section "Preparing for operation."

SHORT PERIOD OF LESS THAN A MONTH

Turn off circuit breaker.

Close the water valve.
To resume operation later, reÀ ll the tank.
DRAINING PROCEDURE

Turn off circuit breaker.

Close all mixer tap.
3
Open the hot water knobs of all connected mixer tap.
4
Open the drain valve.
Water will now start to Á ow out of the water outlet. It will take 20 to 30 minutes to drain the tank.
5
Close the drain and hot water knobs of all connected mixer taps.
