Initial Camera Setup

Insert a fully charged battery and a high capacity SD or SDHC card.

Set Mode Dial to "M" Manual Mode and White Balance to "AWB."

Set ISO to "200" with strobe(s); "1600" when NOT using strobes.

In Q. MENU:
Set Metering Mode to "Center Weighted
Set Aperture Value to "8.0" when using strobe(s); 3.5 when NOT using
strobe(s). Set Shutter Speed to "60", or higher for fast moving subjects.
Set Photo Style to "STD. Standard."
Set Flash Mode to "Forced Flash On
Set Motion Pic. Set to desired format.
Set Picture Setting to "16:9 L 12M" or other preferred setting.
Set Quality to "Fine" or other preferred setting.
Move Focus Mode Lever to AFS/AFF and set to "AFS" AF Single.
Set AF Mode to "1-Area."

In Rec. MENU:
Set Flash Firing Mode to "TTL", Flash Mode to
to "1st", and Red-Eye Removal to "OFF."

In Custom MENU:
Set Auto Review to "5SEC.
Set Eye Sensor > LVF/Monitor Auto to "OFF."
Note: This housing is designed for use with an external strobe. The
camera's internal flash cannot be used while in the housing. Make sure
the camera flash is CLOSED before placing camera in housing.
Opening the Housing
Lid Snaps have a Lock. To open, push Lid Snap
Lock forward and lift as shown. Keep pressure
on the Lid Snap so it does not fly open quickly.
Lid Snaps have a lot of spring tension once they
go over center, so have a firm grip on the Lid
Snap. Lid Snaps may be opened one at a time.
