Troubleshooting - Weber Performer 78762 Owner's Manual

Problem
Burner burns with a yellow or or-
ange fl ame, in conjunction with the
smell of gas.
Burner does not light, or fl ame is
low.
Burner fl ame pattern is erratic.
Inside of lid appears to be "peel-
ing." (Resembles paint peeling.)

TROUBLESHOOTING

Check
Inspect Burner for possible obstruc-
tions.
Is LP disposable cartridge low or
empty?
Is fuel hose bent or kinked?
Does the burner light with a match?
Is the hose to burner tube connection
properly secured. (see step 9, pg.
11)?
Is burner clean?
The lid is stainless steel, not paint. It
cannot "peel". What you are seeing
is baked on grease that has turned to
carbon and is fl aking off. THIS IS NOT
A DEFECT.
Cure
Clean Burner. (See Section Mainte-
nance").
Replace LP disposable cartridge.
Straighten fuel hose.
If you can light the burner with a
match, then check the ignition system.
Connect the gas hose to the burner
tube using the metal retaining clip
provided.
DANGER Do not use the gas
ignition feature if the retaining clip
is missing. A missing retaining clip
can cause serious bodily injury or
death, and damage to property.
Contact customer service for a re-
placement retainer clip.
Clean burner. (See Section "Mainte-
nance".)
Clean thoroughly. (See Section
"Cleaning".)
