CONNECTING THE LP DISPOSABLE CARTRIDGE
Use LP disposable cartridges with a minimum capacity of 430g and a
maximum capacity of 460g. The cartridge must have a EN417 valve as
illustrated. One type of cartridge that can be used is a Primus model 2202 or
a Weber Q Gas disposable cartridge.
CAUTION: Use cylinders that are marked Propane fuel
or Propane-Butane mix only.
Push LP disposable cartridge into regulator and turn clockwise until tight.
WARNING: Hand tighten only. Using excessive force
could damage the regulator coupling and could cause a
leak or lack of gas fl ow.
Check for gas leaks:
You will need: LP disposable cartridge, a soap-and-water solution and a rag
or brush to apply it.
1) Mix the soap and water.
2) Turn the gas control to on by turning anti-clockwise.
3) Check for leaks by wetting the fi tting with the soap-and-water solution
and watching for bubbles. If bubbles form, or if a bubble grows, there is
a leak.
Check:
1) Regulator to LP disposable cartridge connection.
WARNING: If there is a leak at connection (1), remove
LP disposable cartridge. Do not operate grill. Use
a different LP disposable cartridge and recheck for
leaks with soap-and-water solution. If a leak persists
after retightening the LP cartridge, turn OFF the gas.

Check:
2) Valve to-regulator connections.
WARNING: If there is a leak at connection (2) turn OFF
the gas. DO NOT OPERATE THE GRILL. Contact the

When leak checks are complete, turn gas supply OFF at the source and
rinse connections with water.
Do not use an open fl ame to check for gas leaks. Be
sure there are no sparks or open fl ames in the area
while you check for leaks. Sparks or fl ames will result
in a fi re or explosion which can cause serious bodily
injury or death as well as damage to property.
Do not store a spare LP cartridge under or near this
appliance.
