Alert Tones

Your radio uses alert tones to inform you of your radio's condition. The following table lists these tones and when they occur.

Radio Self Test Fail
When radio fails its power-up self test.
Reject
When an unauthorized request is made.
Four seconds before time out.
No ACK Received
When radio fails to receive an acknowledgment.
Individual Call
When radio is in an individual call for greater than 6 seconds without any activity.
Warning Tone
Man Down Entry
When radio initiates Man Down mode.
Time-Out Timer
After time out.
Timed Out
(When PTT button is pressed) transmissions are not allowed.
Out of Range
(When PTT button is pressed) the radio is out of range of the system.
Invalid Mode
When radio is on an unpreprogrammed channel.
Busy
When system is busy.
Heard
