Listen for a transmission.

Press and hold Volume Set button.

Press Monitor button and listen for activity.

Adjust volume, if necessary.

Press the PTT button to transmit; release to
receive.
Sending an Emergency Alarm

Press and hold the Emergency button*.

The display shows Emergency and the
current zone/channel. You hear a short,
medium-pitched tone, and the LED blinks red
momentarily.

When acknowledgment is received, you hear
four beeps; alarm ends; and radio exits
emergency.
* Default timer of Emergency button press to
activate Emergency is 50 milliseconds. This
timer is programmable, see Emergency
Operation in the user guide for details.
To exit emergency at any time, press and hold
the Emergency button.

  • Page 2 On = Secure operation. Sending an Emergency Call Blinks when the battery is low. Off = Clear operation. Press the Emergency button. The more stripes, the stronger the Blinking = Receiving an encrypted signal strength for the current site voice call. Press and hold the PTT button.
