Alert Tones

An alert tone is a sound or group of sounds. Your radio uses alert tones to inform you of your radio's condition. The following table lists
these tones and when they occur.

Tone Name
When radio fails its power-up self test.
Reject
When an unauthorized request is made.
Four seconds before time out.
When radio fails to receive an acknowledgment.
When radio is in an individual call for greater than 6 seconds without any activity.
When radio initiates Man Down mode.
After time out.
Timed Out
(When PTT button is pressed) transmissions are not allowed.
(When PTT button is pressed) the radio is out of range of the system.
When radio is on an unpreprogrammed channel.
Busy
When the system is busy.
Heard
