    GETTING TO KNOW YOUR PHONE Handset overview (see P1) Meaning M1/M2/M3 - Direct memory keys In idle mode: press and hold to dial the stored number Right Soft Key (CLEAR/BACK/MUTE/INTERCOM) In main menu mode: Press to go back to idle screen. In sub-menu mode: Press to go back to previous level.
  • Page 6 Alphanumeric keypad, * (STAR), # (HASH) Press to insert a digit / character / * / # * key in idle mode: Press and hold to enable or disable the keypad lock. # key in Idle mode: Press and hold to turn on / off the ringer.

Earpiece Display icons and symbols (see P2) The LCD display gives you information on the current status of the telephone. Meaning Steady on when the handset is within range of the base. Flashes when the handset is in marginal range of the base.

    Speaker In idle: Press to turn on/off the speaker phone. During ring: Backlight LED will flash, press to answer the incoming call. During a call: Backlight LED will light on if speaker is activated. Press to hang off the call. M1/M2/M3/M4 - Direct Memory Keys Press to call the number stored in the memory key.

    Text and digit entry The following tables show you where each letter and punctuation character can be found, by using repeated presses of the alphanumeric keypad. This will be helpful when storing a name in the phonebook and renaming your handset. In editing mode, a cursor is displayed to indicate the current text entry position.

    Warning: Always use the line cord provided in the box. Other line cords may not be compatible and may not work. Only use the power adapter supplied. The base unit needs mains power for normal operation, not just for charging the handset batteries. Installing and charging the batteries (see P3) Slide open the battery compartment cover.
  • Page 12 7.1.4 Call from the call log Press to access the call log and press to select the desired call log entry. Press to dial out the selected call log entry. Press it again to turn on the speakerphone. Alternatively, press to access the call log from the main menu.

Note: If the handset is on the charging cradle and if “AUTO ANS” is set to “ON”: when the phone rings, pick up the handset to answer a call auto matically, without having to press any button.

The external call is put on hold automatically and the called handset rings. Press on the called handset to establish an internal call.     CALLER DISPLAY (NETWORK DEPENDENT) This feature is available if you have subscribed the Caller Line Identification service with your telephone service provider. Your phone can store up to 10 received calls with date/time information in the call log. The number will be shown on the screen when the phone is ringing.

  • Page 25 10.4 Care Voice You can record voice messages. The voice message will be played automatically through the base speaker when the time reaches. 10.4.1 Play the Care Voice Message Press to select “CARE VOICE”. Press to select “C VOICE 1” or “C VOICE 2”. Press to select “PLAYBACK”.
