4. Buckle and position the safety
belt as described previously in
this section. Make sure that the
shoulder belt crosses the
shoulder.
To remove and store the comfort
guide, squeeze the belt edges
together so that the safety belt can
be removed from the guide. Slide
the guide back into its storage clip
located on the interior body trim
next to the side of the seat backrest.

WARNING
The lap belt must be positioned
as low as possible across the
pelvis to prevent pressure on the
abdomen.

Safety Belt Care

Keep belts clean and dry.
Periodically check all parts of the
safety belt system for damage and
proper functionality. Have damaged
components replaced.
After an accident, have the belts
and triggered belt pretensioners
replaced by your dealer.
Note: Make sure that the safety
belts are not damaged by shoes or
sharped-edged objects or trapped.
Prevent dirt from getting into the belt
retractors.
