Engine Oil Viscosity Grades
SAE 5W-30 is the best viscosity
grade for your vehicle. Do not use
other viscosity grade oils such as
SAE 10W-30, 10W-40 or 20W-50.
Cold temperature operation:
If in an area of extreme cold, where
the temperature falls below -25°C,
an SAE 0W-30 oil should be used.
An oil of this viscosity grade will
provide easier cold starting for the
engine at extremely low
temperatures. When selecting an oil
of the appropriate viscosity grade be
sure to always select an oil that
meets the dexos specification.
Down to -25°C and below:
0W-30, 0W-40.
Down to -25°C and below:
5W-30, 5W-40.
Service and Maintenance
The SAE viscosity grade gives
information of the thickness of the
oil. Multigrade oil is indicated by two
figures.
The first figure, followed by a W,
indicates the low temperature
viscosity and the second figure the
high temperature viscosity.
Coolant and Antifreeze
Use a 50/50 mixture of DEX-COOL
antifreeze and de-ionised water.
The system is factory filled with
coolant designed for excellent
corrosion protection and frost
protection down to approx. -28 °C.
This concentration should be
maintained all year round. The use
of additional coolant additives
intended to give additional corrosion
protection or seal against minor
leaks can cause function problems.
Liability for consequences resulting
from the use of additional coolant
additives will be rejected.
