MDC 1200 SYSTEM OPERATION
D Transmitting a Radio Check Call
Rado check call allows you to determne whether the tar-
geted staton s turned on, wthn the communcaton range
and on channel wthout requrng any acton from the tar-
geted staton user.
q Push [MDC Call] to enter the MDC menu selecton mode.
w Select "RADIOCHK" usng [CH Up] or [CH Down].
e Push [MDC Call] agan to enter the transcever alas se-
lecton mode.
r Select the desred alas usng [CH Up] or [CH Down].
t Push [PTT] to transmt the rado check call to the selected
staton.
• "RDO CHK" s dsplayed.
y Release [PTT].
• "CHK ACK" s dsplayed after recevng an acknowledgement
from the targeted staton.
• "CHK FAIL" s dsplayed f the targeted staton does not receve
the sgnal or send back an acknowledgement.
u After a specfied tme perod has passed, the transcever
wll return to receve.

D Transmitting a Status Message
Status Messagng allows you to send a pre-programmed
status message. There are 16 status codes that can be sent.
In addton, the transcever can send an MDC 1200 sys-
tem sgnal that causes the targeted staton to automatcally
transmt ts current status.
q Push [MDC Call] to enter the MDC menu selecton mode.
w Select "STATUS" usng [CH Up] or [CH Down].
