The *Dirt Sensor system uses optics to detect existing dirt. A
red light illuminates when dirt is detected and turns off when
your carpet is clean. IMPORTANT: TO ENSURE OPTIMUM
DlRT DETECTION, MAKE SURE CLEANER IS ON PROP-
ER HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT SETTING. NOTE: New carpet
may cause sensor light to illuminate for long periods of time
due to the over abundance of small carpet fibers. The sensor
will continue to detect these new carpet fibers until they are
gone, which may take many passes with the cleaner.

A removable filter is located inside the dirt container. The filter does not need to be replaced but should be cleaned regularly for maximum
performance.

*Regular ~aintenance: Each time the dirt container is
emptied, the filter should be cleaned. Tap the filter firmly
against the inside of a trash can until dirt stops falling from
the filter. (Filter will be discolored after use, this will not
affect the filter's performance.) TIP: Use a soft brush or
the dusting brush provided to help brush dirt out of filter.
NOTE: DO NOT scrub the filter.
Replace the PERMA FILTERewith CleanStreamm Filtration:
