STEP1 Before using the printer

6 Setting clock/language/unit

Prior to using the printer for the first time, it is necessary to set the clock, language, and
unit of measurement.
For help with setting up the printer, check
"Attaching the paper guide" in page 24,
are completed.
Removal of the battery while the power cord is disconnected causes the clock to be
reset to the original factory setting. For details on resetting the clock, refer to
"Setting the clock: Menu 7" in page 37.
For replacing the battery, refer to

Press ON/OFF button ( ) to turn on the
printer.
Time setting screen is displayed on LCD, and then
year "05" and "YY" are displayed alternately.

Set the year using the up or down arrow
buttons ( / ) and press OK button.
The year is changed and then month "01" and
"MM" are displayed alternately.

Set the month using the up or down arrow
buttons ( / ) and press OK button.
The month is changed and then day "01" and "DD"
are displayed alternately.

Set the day using the up or down arrow
buttons ( / ) and press OK button.
The day is changed and then hour "00" and "hh"
are displayed alternately.

Set the hour using the up or down arrow
buttons ( / ) and press OK button.
The hour is changed and then minute "00" and
"mm" are displayed alternately.

Set the minute using the up or down
arrow buttons ( / ) and press OK
button.
The minute is changed and then language setting
screen is displayed.
