System console:
Local users can connect directly to the system console port of the STS Series using the
console/Ethernet cable with the corresponding adapter.
Remote console:
Remote users who require a menu-driven interface can utilize Telnet (port 23) connections to the
STS Series using terminal emulator.
Web:
Remote users who want to use a web browser to configure the STS Series can connect to the
STS Series using conventional web browsers, such as Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.
The above methods require the user authentication by the STS Series system.

2.2.5. Using the System console

1)
Connect one end of the console/Ethernet cable to the console port on the STS Series.

Connect to the user's computer with the RJ45-DB9 female adapter.

Connect the other end of the cable to the serial port of the user's computer.
4)
Run a terminal emulator program (i.e. HyperTerminal). Set up the serial configuration
parameters of the terminal emulation program as follows:
9600 Baud rate
Data bits 8
Parity None
Stop bits 1
No flow control
5)
Press the [ENTER] key.
6)
Enter your user name and password to log into the STS Series. The factory default user
