0 (ZERO) / Span - Adjustments

Be sure to carry out calibration before setting these operations.

Press
and select the 0-Adjustment.
After cleaning the Detector Windows, immerse the Detector

in distilled water or ion-exchange water.

After accustoming the Detector to water
temperature for 5 minutes or so, make sure that
air bubbles are not attached on the Detector
Windows. And press
"ZERO" blinks on the Display.

When the Display is not "0", use
"0" indication. When the display shows "0", press
CAUTION:
Before making the 0-Adjustment, be sure to clean the Detector Windows.
Before making the 0-Adjustment, be sure to carry out calibration.
After making the 0-Adjustment, be sure to make the Span-Adjustment.

Press
and select the Span-Adjustment.
Cover one of the Detector Windows completely to

be light-shielded for 30 seconds or more.

for 2 seconds or more, "SPAN" blinks
on the Display.

When the Display is not "1000", use
Display into "1000" indication. When the display shows "1000",

CAUTION:
When Err4, Err5, or Err6 is displayed, the SC-T4 is out of the setting range, or the
Detector is not immersed in clean water during the 0-Adjustment, or the Detector
Windows may not completely be light-shielded during the Span-Adjustment.

These setting is set for OFF as a factory setting.
Make setting as occasion demands.

Alarm Relay Output Setting

When the measurements get higher than the Alarm Level continuously
beyond the time set by the Alarm Timer, the Alarm Relay Output will be
produced.
Although the measurements get
higher than the Alarm Level, since
higher period is shorter than that of
the Alarm Timer, Alarm Relay
Output will not be produced.

The Alarm Level Indicator appears when the measurements
get higher than the Alarm Level. Both the Alarm Timer
indicator and Alarm Level Indicator blink when the
measurements get longer and higher than the setting value
of the Alarm Timer and Alarm Level. And in this case, Alarm

Relay Output will be produced.
The Alarm Relay Output will be produced.
While the measurements values are
higher than the Alarm Level, the Alarm
Relay Output will continue to be produced.
When the measurements
become lower than the
Alarm Level, the Alarm
Relay Output is released.
