4-2-4 Status Area Allocations

The Status Area consists of the following two items.
• Status: The status of the network and of the Gateway Unit
• Participation Flags and Communications Error Flags: Participation and error flags for applicable

Status
The status of the Gateway Unit and the entire network are stored here.

Communications
OFF: Normal
Error Flag
ON: Error
Turns ON when a communications error occurs at even one applicable
Slave Unit.*1
*1 This applies to all Slave Units if pin 4 (REGS) on the Gateway Unit
is OFF when the power is turned ON. If pin 4 is ON when the
power is turned ON, then this applies to registered Slave Units
only.
Registration Table
Enabled only in Registration Table Enable Mode, i.e., when pin 4
Verification Error
(REGS) is ON on the Gateway Unit when the power is turned ON.
Flag
OFF: Normal
ON: Verification error
Turns ON if even one Slave Unit node address and corresponding
Slave Unit model do not agree with the information in the registration
table when the power is turned ON.
Note: Remote I/O communications will start even if this flag turns ON.
Reserved.
Do not use.
Slave Unit Duplicated
OFF: Normal
Address Error Flag
ON: Error (The same node address is set for more than one Slave
Unit, the same node address area is being used by more than one
Slave Unit, or a different type of Slave Unit is participating at the same
address after the original Slave Unit left the network.)
Note: Remote I/O communications will start even if this flag turns ON.
Repeater Unit
OFF: Normal
Communications
ON: Error
Error Flag
Note: Remote I/O communications will start even if this flag turns ON.
Repeater Unit Node
