Switching commands
These commands can only initiate a one-input-to-one-output switch.
Switching levels (audio models only)
Switching levels consist of combinations of video (RGB), sync (HV), and audio
boards. The three predefined switching levels include:
For commands that use these switching levels, refer to the Switching Commands
chart below.
Command
Set switching level
[LVLx]
Execute matrix switch
[MSxOooIii]
Matrix switch current setting
[MSx?]
Matrix switch current output
[MsxOoo?]
Blank output
[BLANKoo]
Volume commands
Use these commands to control volume levels for both inputs and outputs. Input
levels are typically adjusted to minimize drastic changes in volume when switching
between inputs.
Command
Mute/unmute
[MUTEoox]
• Level 1 = RGBHV and audio
• Level 2 = RGBHV (no audio)
• Level 3 = Audio only (no video or sync)
Description
x = set switching level (1 to 3)
x = ? returns current switching level
Executes a matrix switch of an input to an output for a
specific switching level.
• Where:
x = 1 - 3 for specific switching level.
oo = 01 - 04 (MSG0804) or 01 - 08 (MSG0808) for output.
ii = 00 - 08 for input (00 = blank)
Returns the current connections for level x.
Returns connections for specified output and level.
• Where:
x = switching level.
oo = 01 - 04 (MSG0804) or 01 - 08 (MSG0808)
Blanks a specific output.
• Where oo = 01 - 04 (MSG0804) or 01 - 08 (MSG0808)
Description
Mute or unmute a specific output or request the current
status.
• Where:
oo = 01 - 04 (MSG0804) or 01 - 08 (MSG0808) for output.
x = 0 to disable mute and 1 to enable mute.
x = ? to request the current state.
x = (blank) to toggle the current state.
