Viewing and adjusting the input audio level (HVA models only)

On HVA models, the audio level of each input can be displayed and adjusted
through a range of -15dB to +9dB to ensure that there is no noticeable volume
difference among sources. The audio level can be adjusted from the front panel or
by using Extron's Windows-based control program.
Press and hold the Audio button until the Audio LED begins to blink, then

release the Audio button.

Press and release an input button to select an input. The audio level for the
selected input is displayed in the output LEDs and the polarity (+ or -) is
displayed in the View or Esc LEDs.

Press and release the Esc ( ) and View (
the audio level.

Press and release the Audio button to exit the audio display and adjust mode.
The Audio LED stops blinking and turns off.

Example 8: View and adjust an audio level

Refer to figure 3-16, figure 3-18, and the following steps for an example of viewing
and adjusting the audio level. Audio gain and
attenuation is displayed differently on the
CrossPoint Plus 168 and 1616, but the steps for
displaying the value are the same. For this
reason, figure 3-17 and figure 3-19 show the
indications displayed on the CrossPoint Plus
168 and 1616 without duplicating all of the
actions shown in figure 3-16 and figure 3-18.
Press and release the Esc button. The Esc

LED flashes once.
Press and hold the Audio button for

approximately 2 seconds until the Audio
LED begins to blink, then release the
Audio button.
Press and release the input 5 button. The
C
input 5 LED lights. The audio level for
the selected input is displayed in the
output LEDs. The polarity is indicated
by either the Esc ( ) or View (
blinking.
On the CrossPoint Plus 84, 88, 124, and
128, each output LED indicates 1dB when
blinking and 2dB when lit.
On the CrossPoint Plus 168 and 1616,
each output LED indicates 1dB when lit.
The blinking Esc ( ) LED indicates a
positive (gain) level. The blinking
View (
) LED indicates a negative
(attenuation) level.
There is one audio level setting per input. The audio level setting is
shared by the left and right audio inputs.
The audio level settings are stored in non-volatile memory. When power
is removed and restored, the audio level settings are retained.
