To control volume using a volume knob, connect a four-conductor encoder such as Audio Authority’s Model 1793 or 1794 to the four-pin encoder port at each position. Push the knob to mute audio. These controls allow mute by pressing the knob. - Page 4 The audio BUS OUTPUT feeds the currently selected audio input (MUSIC PLAYER) to more 1714 modules in the system. Do not connect headphones to this output. Connect a 3.5mm patch cord from the first 1714 bus output to the second 1714 player input, etc.
