Selecting Printer Driver Options/Defaults
(for Windows)
Before you start working with your machine, you are advised to verify and
change the default printer driver settings if necessary. Also, in case you have
options installed, you should "declare" the options in the printer driver.

Choose the driver's properties as follows:
– (Windows 7)
From the Start menu, click Devices and Printers to open the Devices
and Printers directory. Right-click the KONICA MINOLTA magicolor
4690MF printer icon, and then click Printing preferences.
– (Windows Vista/Server 2008)
From the Start menu, select Control Panel, and then click Hardware
and Sound to select Printers. Right-click the KONICA MINOLTA
magicolor 4690MF printer icon, and then select Printing Prefer-
ences.
– (Windows XP/Server 2003)
From the start menu, select Printers and Faxes to display the Print-
ers and Faxes directory. Right-click the KONICA MINOLTA magicolor
4690MF printer icon and select Printing Preferences.
– (Windows 2000)
From the Start menu, select Settings and then Printers to display the
Printers directory. Right-click the KONICA MINOLTA magicolor
4690MF printer icon and select Printing Preferences.

If you have installed available options, proceed with the next step. Other-
wise, proceed with step 8.

Select the Device Options Setting tab.

Check the options that have been correctly identified.

Clear the Auto Configure check box.

If the KONICA MINOLTA mc4690MF (FAX) printer icon
appears instead of the KONICA MINOLTA magicolor 4690MF
printer icon in the Devices and Printers directory, right-click the
KONICA MINOLTA mc4690MF (FAX) printer icon, click Print-
ing preferences, and then click KONICA MINOLTA magi-
color 4690MF.
Since Auto Configure is selected as a default with this driver,
installed options are automatically identified. If the options are not
correctly identified, follow the operations described in steps 5
through 7.
