Programming Overview

Entering Program Mode

After your HRDVS is connected to all the peripheral equipment, you need to program your
system. You enter all system settings in Program mode. Program mode also gives you
access to video reports and alarm reports.
This chapter describes:
The front panel control buttons you use to navigate through the screens and make
changes
Entering and exiting Program mode
The HRDVS menu structure
A quick reference for the initial system configuration

If you are monitoring a black and white camera and you enter the
programming menus, the screens will appear black and white. Similarly, if
you are monitoring a color camera, when you enter the programming menus
the screens will appear in color.
To enter Program mode:
1.
Press MENU on the HRDVS front panel.
Note
If the unit is recording when you enter Program mode, the HRDVS warns you
that recording will stop.
If you previously disabled all user names, you are not prompted for a
password and you are not warned that recording is stopping.
2.
You are prompted to enter your User Name. Press one of the Camera buttons to
select a User Name (for example, Camera 1 is User 1). The factory default is User 1.
