5. Check Buckle
Position
Determine which of the
available buckle positions
will be comfortable and
provide a snug fit for
your child.
To Change Buckle
Position
a. Turn the child restraint over
and locate the buckle's
metal retainer.
Rotate metal retainer, then

insert retainer up through
the shell and pad.
c. From the top, pull buckle
free from plastic shell and
pad.

d. Reposition buckle location.
Insert the buckle's metal
retainer through the
desired slot. Make sure
buckle is facing forward.
e.
Reach under seat between
base and shell. Pull
buckle's metal retainer
completely through pad
and shell.
f. Pull up on buckle to make
sure it is secured. The
buckle's metal retainer
must not pull out.
Failure to place buckle's metal retainer
completely through pad and plastic shell can
result in serious injury or death.
