4) Main BGM on the BUS display window becomes mute during self-broadcasting of L-500. If no local
broadcasting, Mute is released and main BGM is broadcast.
A condenser MIC cannot be used during L-500 LOCAL MIC broadcasting.
A Display status of the BUS display window of L-500 is as follow:
During Z-500 EM MIC broadcasting
During Z-500 paging broadcasting
During Z-500 Fire Alarm broadcasting
During Z-500 Timer Alarm broadcasting
During RM-500 broadcasting
5. CONNECTING RM-500
1) Connect with RM-500 connection hole on the rear side of Z-500 unit by using CAT5(UTP) material.
Same connection method of L-500
2) Immediate broadcasting is permitted without separate ID setting.
3) Total 4 sets of RM-500 can be connected.
4) If power is supplied, buttons sequentially turns on or off at the same time as power LED turns on.
5) Check connection status and unit since flickering of buttons means defective unit or connection status.
6. RM-500 MIC BROADCASTING
1) Connect MIC to a MIC input jack. Both dynamic MIC and condenser MIC are available.
2) Set chime mode switch on the rear side of RM-500.
A. Switch 1 ON: Upper 2 tone chime is transmitted when pressing TALK button for starting
B. Switch 2 ON: Upper 4 tone chime is transmitted when pressing TALK button for starting
C. Switch 3 ON: Lower 4 tone chime is transmitted when pressing TALK button for ending
D. Switch 1, 2 ON: Same as function as Switch 1 ON.
3) Pressing the relevant button of the zone to broadcast enables to turn on the button. If pressing 'All'
button, all zones of Z-500 where the relevant RM-500 is connected to are selected.
4) MIC broadcasting is performed with the 'TALK' button pressed. In this case, broadcasting is performed
after checking start of chime broadcasting by using a built-in monitor speaker.
5) Control MIC input volume of RM-500 and input volume of Z-500 while checking a level meter or
listening to broadcasting volume.
6) 'R' is displayed on the BUS display window of Z-500 and the BUS display window of L-500, which is
relevant to broadcasting zone.
7) Release MIC broadcasting status by pressing the talk button to end broadcasting.
8) Check ending of chime broadcasting by using a built-in monitor speaker.
7. BROADCASTING OF RM-500 PRIORITY
1) Broadcasting to any RM-500 is permitted for the non-broadcasting zone.
2) The broadcasting zone has priority to the order of RM1 > RM2 > RM3 > RM4.
3) If the relevant zone button turns off when pressing 'TALK' button after pressing the broadcasting zone
button, it means that other RM is already broadcast in the same zone and it is noted which RM-500 is
broadcast with the turned 'IN USE LED'.
4) If other IN USE turns on after the zone button selected during broadcasting turns off, other RM-500 with
high priority is broadcast in the same zone.
8. OPERATION IN RM-500 LINK MODE
In case of using the unit through link with Z-500, MIC broadcasting of RM-500 is impossible to the output
zone of other Z-500, Broadcasting is permitted only to the output zone of the Z-500 where RM-500 is
connected.
