INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing the Kawai PR-1 Acoustic Piano Recording System. The PR-1 is an integrated microphone
and CD audio recorder system specifically designed to make recording an acoustic piano extremely easy, even for a
newcomer to audio recording techniques.
In addition to making high quality CD recordings, the PR-1 can be used in a variety of other ways. The PR-1 can be
used to record a piano along with other instruments or a vocalist, or as a microphone system in live performances or
in a recording studio. You can also use the PR-1 to play along with Karaoke or music minus one CD's using head-
phones or an amplifier and external speakers, or to add the ambience of a stage or concert hall to your piano when
listening through headphones or external speakers.
