TROUBLESHOOTING
DRIVE PROBLEMS
Engine runs, but lawn
tractor doesn't move
Check shift lever.
Check parking brake.
Check pedal(s)
position.
Check drive belt.
Check transmission
release (hydrostatic
transmission model)
VIBRATION
Possible cause Correction
Clutch and /or brake
pedals not fully
released.
Drive belt worn, broken
or not on pulleys.
Lever is in the
RELEASED
position
Make sure clutch and/or
brake pedals are fully
released.
See servicing Honda
lawn tractor dealer.
Move lever to the
ENGAGED
position.
Lawn tractor vibrates Possible cause
Check blades. Blades not in good
condition.
Check mower deck. Blades obstructed by
grass, mud, etc.
Check blade belt. Blade belt worn or not
properly installed.
Correction
Inspect blades, and
replace if necessary.
Clear mower deck of
any obstructions.
Inspect blade belt, and
make sure it is properly
installed.
