SERVICING YOUR OUTBOARD MOTOR
DRAIN PLUG
3. Place a suitable container below
the oil drain guide to catch the
used oil, then remove the oil filler
cap and the drain plug.
4. Allow the used oil to drain
completely, then reinstall the
engine oil drain plug, and tighten it
securely.
Improper disposal of engine oil
can be harmful to the environment.
I f you change your own oil, please
dispose of the used oil properly.
Put it in a sealed container, and
take it to a recycling center. Do
not discard it in a trash bin or
dump it on the ground.
5.
Install the oil drain plug cover and
secure it with the screw.
6.
With the outboard motor in a
vertical position, fill to the upper
limit mark
on the dipstick (p. 60
)
with the recommended oil.
Engine oil refill capacity:
Without oil filter change:
8.0 US
qt (7.6 Q , 6.7 Imp qt)
7. Install the oil filler cap and tighten
it securely.
8. Install and lock the engine cover.
