Connect the power cord to the wall outlet and turn the printer power switch to the ON [ I ]
position.

Loading Code from the FLASH DIMM

This section describes the procedure for loading code from a FLASH DIMM to the on-board
FLASH for new production controllers that have never been programmed.
1.
Place the FLASH DIMM module that contains the desired code revision into the USER
FLASH DIMM socket.
2.
Move the Jumper (J3) to DIMM Boot position.
3.
Simultaneously press and hold the following buttons on the printer control panel: CANCEL,
NEXT and SELECT. Continue holding them down while you power ON the Printer.
4.
Once the control panel display reads "Copy DIMM 1 to 2", release the CANCEL, NEXT
and SELECT buttons.
5.
Press the SELECT button again to continue the copy process.
6.
After a moment the control panel display reads "Copy Completed Power OFF".
7.
Power off the printer, remove the USER FLASH DIMM module and place the Jumper (J3)
back to the Flash Boot position.
NOTE:
To remove the FLASH DIMM, pull the white braces away from the ends of the DIMM until the
DIMM snaps out of the slot.

Using the Hard Disk Option and User Flash DIMM Module

This section discusses the available control panel menus when the Hard Disk or User Flash option
is installed. Storage of files on the Hard Disk and User Flash option are also discussed.
